GIVEAWAY!!!

So... yesterday I said that when my craft room is clean, I'll have a giveaway! Well, it hasn't happened yet, but I hope to have it clean soon. So to provide me with a little more incentive, we'll have a little game. Here's how it works....

Leave me a comment. How about leave me a comment telling me a favorite paper art technique. You can leave as many comments as you'd like, but the last person to leave a comment when my craft room is clean gets a handcrafted goodie from me!

It's sort of like musical chairs... you never know when the music stops, but when it does, you want to be the last person to have commented!!

I'll leave this post at the top of the page and maybe sometime today, or tomorrow, or by the end of the weekend, we'll see who wins!! Now let's get the fun started... Who's first?

UPDATE: It is now 10 pm and I'm still working on this room of mine... I can see most of all 3 craft tables (though none of the card table or side table... ergh), so I've definitely made a lot of progress today. But I will have to continue tomorrow, so keep the comments coming!! This time tell me what your favorite scrapbooking/papercrafting tool is! (Remember, you can post more than once... as many times as you want! The goal is to be the last person to post before my craft room is clean!)

clean it. clean it. clean it! i currently love the time-consuming task of cutting paper edges into scallops and then punching holes into the half circle remaining from the scallop cut out. like the paper by karen russell for creative imaginations.

Clean that room (and I should talk) - I need to do mine more.

My new favorite thing to use is my CRICUT, but I've also lately been into corner rounding as well. I know it's old, but it's interested me

I love distressing whether its by ink, razor edge, tearing or crumbling. anything to make the paper not new looking.

Hi Elizabeth! I am cleaning my scrap room tonight also, as it has reached an all-time low in cleanliness over the holidays. Lately I am really into using the scalloped punches by Marvy, and plan to invest in a few more with my Christmas gift $$$. Also I am just CRAZY about all of the office supply-themed scrapbooking and stamping supplies - I can't wait to try using them on cards and layouts! Happy cleaning!

Clean baby clean! You go girl!

Hmmm... lately I have been TOTALLY into combining embossing & distressing together on tags - did a lot for christmas! I used the Tim Holtz 12 days of christmas techniques (on his blog).

Clean the scrap room? I never heard of such a thing! Maybe you can come to my basement next!

Favorite paper technique right now is to distress all straight edges with the Heidi Swapp distress tool and think ink over the soft edges.

So, how close to done with that cleaning are you?

Boy, I hear ya - it seems like it takes hours to clean them and only seconds to mess them:) I've been the Stickles queen lately - so many Christmas cards and lots of sparkle.

How's it coming today???

LOL - you are too cute with the comment cleaning motivation! :) And I loved how perceptive you were about the sweet pea scraps kit!

Still thinking about distressing - learning how to "tear" the edges of papers or just nick them up a bit is my newest challenge - but I think I got a 2peas RAK tool coming my way to help with that!

Clean baby clean! :)

Go go go girl! Tidy it up! And when you're done can you come do my house? lol...

Paper techniques, ummmm...fave? That would be ANYthing that uses paper, lol. Lately I've been getting crazy with using my pp since I got SO much for Christmas, I gotta stop hoarding! :P

I'm back, checking on your progress. I have some cleaning of my own to do today, but not sure I'll get down to the basement for my scrap area. Would be nice though. Keep up the good work, and when your done, you might try using a little bees wax to age and distress papers - that's my next paper technique to try, and I'm very excited!

i don't have any nifty-pifty "tools" like you, but i can always count on my paper cutter (the dark gray one with the little square orange cutter that slides) i hope you're having better luck cleaning your CR than i am leaning my whole house! :)

I do like playing musical chairs. I need to clean my crafting space too. Can't craft anything right now. I have been using the dinning room table, just because my craft table has not space.
I don't know if there is a specific paper crafting technique I like the most, I like all of them.

Rosella said...

Thanks for challenging me to clean my space!

Hey, this is pretty cool...lol. I like putting the ink around the edges of my paper so make them look loder (thanks for that one!), and I'm all about using some ribbon on a layout! Happy Cleaning!

Keep cleaning - it will be SO worth it in the end! My favorite tool right now is my brand-new Crop-o-dile :) I finally broke down and got one (with a 50% off coupon, of course). Thanks for the chance!

Susan Beth said...

Are you still at it? Well, I'm still impressed. I managed to get one level of my house clean - at least cleaner. Unfortunately, not the level that includes my scrap area.

So, another paper technique, hummmmm . . . . how about use essential glue on the edges and dip in glitter for some sparkle to your pages.

Hope you finish real soon!
