20,000!

WHOA! I've passed the 20,000 visitor mark on this blog, so I think that calls for a giveaway! I have just the thing, too.... been saving it up for an occasion like this! I'd post pictures, but I'm too lazy to get out of bed and go take pictures. You'll just have to trust me on this one. =D

So... the giveaway is a cute little red and white polka dot mini lunchbox filled with goodies, like acrylic stamps, embellishments, and more! =D All you have to do is leave me a little hello in the comments on this post to be entered! My birthday is coming up next month (a big one, too... the big 3-0!), so how 'bout I celebrate by drawing a winner on September 1st? (No the 1st isn't my birthday, but waiting until the 21st just seems too long.)

Sound good?

MIM Challenges - Here's the deal....

Okay, so I'm trying to pare down some of my commitments these days. I don't have many big ones, but I have lots of small ones that have been overwhelming me as of late. So.... I'm going to stop doing MIM challenges. Really, they've been fun, but it's been more of a headache trying to come up with ideas and then actually get a project done for it each week that I'm not sure it's worth it. Crafting is supposed to be fun and therapeutic, right? Not stressful and overwhelming? So it's time to say goodbye to the weekly challenges.

BUT....

You can't go out without a bang, so here's the deal. You all have one week to participate in any and all of the previous challenges and I'll put all the names in a hat and draw a winner for some blog candy! I'll have to take a picture of it and post that later, but it's some fun stuff I've been saving up for a good giveaway. So thank you to everyone who has participated in the challenges this year, and I hope you keep sharing your work with me... I love it! As for the blog candy, you know the drill... make a project, leave a comment including a link and your email address, and do it all by Monday night. I'll draw a name Tuesday morning. The more challenges you participate in, the more entries you get. Good luck!

HOW DID I MISS IT??

I swear it was just yesterday that I looked at my blog counter and it said 2800-something. I remember thinking "Oh, only a couple hundred more people and then I will hit the 3000 mark! Woohoo!" I only get about 50 people who check my blog a day, so I figured it would take a few days. I looked just now and it says 3012!!! WOW! I've had 15 people check so far today, so it must have turned over this morning, but HOW DID I MISS IT?? I don't know.

I guess it doesn't really matter that I didn't actually see it hit the 3000 mark. The important thing is that it DID! And THAT, my friends, is cause for a celebration. So how 'bout a giveaway?? Leave me a comment and I'll draw a random winner tomorrow (Monday) night!

The prize will be two Purple Onion stamps from my stash. They are brand new and have never been used. They have been trimmed and "tacked" and are ready to use! One is a set of journaling lines and the other is a negative script block. Here are the images:

Happy posting and thanks for reading my blog!! If you are a subscriber, let me know how (Feedblitz, Google Reader, Bloglines, whatever you use) in your comment for an extra chance to win!

Karen Day wants to Say ...

"Purple Monkey Dishwasher"
http://karen-day.blogspot.com

It is nigh unto midnight....

... 11:55 to be exact.

BUT MY CRAFT ROOM IS CLEAN!!!

Whew! It only took a day and a half! I told you it was messy. I had to take a little break this afternoon so I could go to the LSS and pick up my DT stuff for my open house / upcoming class displays. That took a while, but then I was back at it. And now I'm done! Except for the vacuuming, but I think Roomba is down there right now helping me with that one... tee hee!

Okay, so the only reason any of you are still reading is because you want to know who the winner is... well, without further delay, the winner is:

NATHALIA!!!

She left the last comment before I started this post, so there will be something special going out in the mail to her!! Congrats!!

Thanks to everyone who commented... it was great motivation! Hope you enjoyed playing...

Getting Close!!

I'm getting closer!! In fact, I'm hopeful I can get it done tonight, so long as I remember that it doesn't have to be *perfect* - just picked up and clean!! I will need to rearrange and reorganize my shelves at some point, but tonight is not the night... So for now I will just keep that the way it is and keep plugging to clean up...

I think I can... I think I can... I think I can....

(Don't forget to leave a comment here for the chance to win something from me! It'll be extra special since it's taking so long... *grin* )

GIVEAWAY!!!

So... yesterday I said that when my craft room is clean, I'll have a giveaway! Well, it hasn't happened yet, but I hope to have it clean soon. So to provide me with a little more incentive, we'll have a little game. Here's how it works....

Leave me a comment. How about leave me a comment telling me a favorite paper art technique. You can leave as many comments as you'd like, but the last person to leave a comment when my craft room is clean gets a handcrafted goodie from me!

It's sort of like musical chairs... you never know when the music stops, but when it does, you want to be the last person to have commented!!

I'll leave this post at the top of the page and maybe sometime today, or tomorrow, or by the end of the weekend, we'll see who wins!! Now let's get the fun started... Who's first?

UPDATE: It is now 10 pm and I'm still working on this room of mine... I can see most of all 3 craft tables (though none of the card table or side table... ergh), so I've definitely made a lot of progress today. But I will have to continue tomorrow, so keep the comments coming!! This time tell me what your favorite scrapbooking/papercrafting tool is! (Remember, you can post more than once... as many times as you want! The goal is to be the last person to post before my craft room is clean!)

Another Giveaway!

Okay... so this one isn't mine. It's from the Erika Designs blog and one of the rules to play is that you have to pass on the word! So check it out, and consider this word passed!

And the winner is.....

Kate!!!

I chose the winner by a random using the random integer generator. So congratulations, Kate! Send me your mailing address and I'll get your prize package in the mail!!

It's time for a....

***GIVEAWAY!!***

Andrea inspired me with her recent goodies, so I've been collecting items for a giveaway of my own. It was going to be a celebratory "I made the SPS DT!" or "My craft show was a hit!" giveaway, but since neither of those really turned out that way, it's going to be an "I'm having a weekend long scrap retreat and am going to get lots and lots of layouts done!" giveaway.

So here's how it works... I want you to post your favorite holiday tradition (Christmas or other) and in turn I will pick one lucky commenter to win the scrappy goods! I will pick the name on Sunday night, November 11th - at the end of my great scrapbook getaway.

So... get posting already!!
