Since I rearranged my Craft Room, we have actually had TWO Craft Nights down there!! I am excited about the return of Craft Night, and I hope everyone else is, too. Here are a few pictures from Craft Night 1 in January, as well as some pictures of the craft room. I have slowly been working on tying together more of the decor (and someday hope to paint that awful cement wall!) so it changes weekly as I do that, but this gives a pretty good idea of the layout...
We managed to fit 7 people down there crafting!! It was tight, but we had a good time!
You'll notice that my sewing machine and Cricut have permanent, ready-to-use homes. I'm very excited about that! It makes crafting so much easier, and I have managed to keep my craft tables clean, even cleaning up between layouts! Crazy!
So... who wants to come and craft with me now that we can craft without having our backs to each other??
Everyone has a little "inner" Martha. This is where I post about all things domestic and creative.

A.C. Bailey Party
See these people? They were at my house last night. CRAFTING.
Yes, It's true.
This beautiful A.C. Bailey Consultant came to my house....
... and taught us this make-n-take!
Cute, huh? She gave some of us renewed interested in our Cricut machines, and it was really fun just to get together and scrap with friends again! I do believe Craft Night will make a comeback. At least I hope it does! =D
In the meantime, I am enjoying all sorts of goodies from the party. I am especially enjoying this pile of goodies, since it was FREE! =D Yay for hostessing parties!

I need to craft. Desperately.
I desperately need to craft.
DESPERATELY.
It has been so long since I've been down in my craft room, and even longer since I've actually scrapped. My days have been filled with a 2 year old who doesn't nap any more, and my evenings filled with the household chores I didn't get done because Ellie needed me to play with her or help her or just be with her. Craft time? Zip. Zilch. Nada.
So this weekend (Thursday through Sunday) we headed to Yellowstone to camp, and I brought my knitting and crocheting along. I desperately needed to craft. Have I mentioned that yet? I more or less just yarncrafted (I don't think that's a word, but it's fitting and easier to say than "knitted or crocheted") while we were in the car driving (we live about 2 hours from the west entrance to Yellowstone) and I managed to complete a scarf and hat, the top portion of a shirt or dress (that I will finish with fabric), and I've got three more scarves in the works, one over halfway done and the others about a third done each. It was calming. It was relaxing. I need more crafting in my life. I always say it is my sanity, but until recently I didn't realize how much I really do NEED it.
So... I'll post pictures sometime of the projects I yarncrafted over the weekend. I'm gearing up for fall already. It's weird. But I'm oddly happy that I can sit and craft pretty, warm things and it doesn't require much space or cleanup and Ellie can't get into it too badly. But oh, how I miss my scrapbooking. I haven't even touch my last two Sweet Pea Scraps kits. Not even touched. As in, haven't even opened the bags to see what's inside. How sad is that?
But sooner or later I will get to craft again. Hopefully in September, when I am bringing Craft Night back after its untimely death with Michael's move to Austrailia. Even if it's just me and a friend or two, I'm bringing Craft Night back in September. I have to. I. Need. To. Craft.
DESPERATELY.

I am alive
though at this particular moment I sort of wish that weren't the best I could say.
Good news: I have made progress in my craft room and have actually been able to do a couple projects down there.
Bad news: None of the projects have been for myself.
Good news: I've got most of my projects for Keepsakes done, so that is no longer hanging over my head.
Bad news: I've been keeping up with their blog about as well as I've been keeping up with this one.
Good news: I've been losing weight and keeping up with my calorie counting.
Bad news: Today has been a bad, bad day and I really want to eat the rest of the ice cream we have in the freezer.
Good news: Craft night tonight!
Bad news: If I feel in a few hours like I feel right now, I'm not going.
Good news: I got new Copic markers today!
Bad news: I may never get to play with them the way my week is going.
That's about it. Too many things, too little time. Too much stress. MIM gets the back burner for now. Hopefully it will all slow down soon and I'll have some new things to post for your viewing enjoyment. And as far as the MIM challenges go, we're just going to pretend that the month of April doesn't even exist.

I didn't get much done at Craft Night....
... but it was a total gab fest and we had a great time. I went over around 6:30 and ate dinner with Stephanie (since Neal and the kids were coming down to our house to make dinner with Leif and Ellie). Then we crafted for a bit before Michael and Dara showed up. The four of us crafted and gabbed until Erika arrived, and then the party was in full swing!! It was after 11 when Erika and I finally left Stephanie's house. We just got to talking and completely lost track of time! Good times...
