Plunger Hat

From Scrapbook Pages

I don't know what's with the out of focus pictures as of late, but I'm too lazy to retake them, and it took me long enough just to get new stuff onto this blog that you'll just have to suffer through. =D

The Demise of the Gingerman House

This is a layout I did over Christmas, and one I'm quite fond of! Just documenting Ellie's destruction of our gingerbread house, or the "gingerman" house, as she called it.

Peppernut Day!

Today was Peppernut Day! We have one every year, where I make those little German spiced cookies we just can't have Christmas without! Last night Ellie and I made the dough, then I rolled out the logs and stored them in the garage overnight so they could freeze. That's one step that's different now that I live in Montana! But I do like being able to freeze things without clearing out space in the freezer, that's for sure! This year I made one change to the recipe I always use. Because Eliana can't have milk, I substituted coconut milk for the evaporated milk in the recipe - and you can't tell one bit of difference! I am very excited about this substitution for holiday baking. It's so much more fun when Ellie can eat the treats with us! So for now, she can have as many peppernuts as she wants!

Happy Holidays!

There is Time...

Just a layout about the precious moments I have with my daughter. I love this photo of her tiny, newborn fingers holding on to her grandad's thumb. I used some Scenic Route, Theresa Collins, Graphic 45, and Prima for this one.

Look Out the Window and Let Me Show You the World!

Scrapbooking

I love these pictures of my mom and Eliana on her first ride in a small airplane! I got to play with some fun Prima flowers and swirls for this one, too, and some acetate photo frames from my stash!

How Many Frogs Do You Have to Kiss?

Scrapbook Pages

Played with a friend's Cricut cartridge for this one, a cartridge I probably won't get myself. I'm not sure I completely like this layout, but I do love the pictures, so for now it will have to do.

More Water Please!

Another take on the last sketch! I played a little more with the title pane on this one and I like how it turned out!

The Egg Hunt

Scrapbooking

A good sketch for lots of 4x6 photos. I used it more than once at Susan Beth's scrap day last month!

River Walk

Scrapbooking

I made this layout at Susan Beth's house, and by the time I got home the letters were already starting to fall off. That's what I get for using dollar store letters, but I came up with a quick fix that I like considering this is a river themed page...

Scrapbooking

Just a wavy stitch with the teal thread that was already in my sewing machine did the job! It adds a little texture, too, which is always fun.

Fox in Sox

Scrapbooking

One of the pages I put together last month at a scrapbooking day at Susan Beth's house. I love these pictures of Leif and Ellie, and I got to use more of one of my backlogged Sweet Pea Scraps kits. I'm looking forward to scrapping with her again this month!

A Father's Love

Scrapbook Page

I LOVE these pictures of Ellie and Leif. We were hiking around the river near our house and on the way back, she got tired. So Leif picked her up and carried her home, and she just laid her head on his shoulder the whole way. It was so sweet and I am so thankful for these pictures!

Scrapbook Page

When I showed Eliana this page, she pointed to the feather and said, "I don't think that belongs there." When I asked why not, she told me very matter-of-factly that, "I think it belongs in my feather duster." And so it did! It fell out at some point and I swiped it, knowing it would be fun to use on a page. Ha ha! She caught me! I thought it went well with the outdoorsy theme, though...

Lake Fun

This isn't one of my favorite pages, but it turned out okay. I still have more of these pictures from camping at the Hyalite Reservoir last year, too. What am I going to do with them all??

And a 2 pager!

Recent Scrapbooking

More 2 year photos. I told you I had a lot of them! This layout changed orientation a few times throughout the process! When I started the green ribbon was along the outside edges instead of along the top. Then it was at the bottom, then finally at the top. I really like it! I decided it needed just a little something else, too, so it's got an apron scallop strip along the bottom. Somehow that made a world of difference on the white cardstock! Then it needed a smidge of dimension (because how can *I* not have dimension on a layout, LOL!) and the dots needed a bit of sprucing up, too, so I dug in my stash of flowers and brads and voila! the finished product! Here's a close up...

Not A Baby Anymore

Recent Scrapbooking

It's true... they grow up. More pictures from her 2 year photo shoot last year. I used the same paper cut into strips the same way as on the last layout, as well as the same letters and even the same background cardstock. But I wanted to see if I could make a different looking layout using the same supplies and I think it worked. I like them both! This one is mainly A.C. Bailey paper...

On a separate note, though, last night we finally went and took 3 year pictures of her! Woohoo! So I suppose I can move on to those next month. ;) But I HAVE been making time for regular crafting, one scrapbook page at a time. That is huge for me since scrapbooking has been sporadic at best this year. Now I'm doing a page a day or perhaps a few cards one day in between pages. It's relaxing, and I have something pretty to show for it. ;)

Playing with more stuff from my stash and trying to use up scraps of a SPS kit and some of the A.C. Bailey I've used on other layouts. =D Here are some details...

Two Peas in a Pod

And now for some older pictures! These were taken back when Ellie was about 8 months old and just getting to know her friend Corinne. They were like two peas in a pod and had a great time together!

I had a lot of fun layering things for the title on this one!

Wonderful

Sweet Pea Scraps Layouts

I love this picture of Eliana with my dad. It was taken while we were in TX last month and I just think it is so sweet. I used some Karen Russell Narratives rub-ons that I've been hoarding on this layout and I LOVE them! Here's a closeup...
